Life of Pi
Underwater, Pi turns and finds himself facing the completely submerged ship.
The teen halts and hovers in the water, his limbs splayed as he stares at the enormous craft. The deck lights glow persistently as the ocean’s depths claim the vessel.
Pi looks on helplessly as the ship carries its passengers and crew into the deep.

Amelia
As the aircraft descends toward a vast desert plane, handwritten words appear: Karachi, Pakistan. 13,888 miles to go. Wind blows sand down a sloping dune, and the desert’s rolling landscape darkens as night falls. Amelia hikes to the top of a dune, a blanket wrapped around her slender frame. She turns her soul-searching gaze skyward.
